17th ATA Convention Success – Ilayaraja Sadhguru Rakul Adivi Sesh Thaman Upasana Prem Reddy Jo Sharma

ATA American Telugu Association 17th ATA convention and youth conference 3-day event held in Washington DC was a grand success with thousands of attendees held by President Bhuvanesh Boojala and whole organizing team along with ATA founder member Hanumant Reddy.

The Walter E Washington Convention Center is very huge and reflected the scale and range of the event. The organizers have flown in some celebrities like Ilayaraja, Thaman, Rakul Preet Singh, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Upasana Kamineni, Sadhguru, Adivi Sesh, American Actress Jo Sharma (Jyotsna) and others.


A few politicians from the ruling parties of both the Telugu states came to the conference and mingled well with the people. Ilayaraja and Thaman concerts gave the thrill of live show experience and glued audience.

Few Highlights of the event is
Upsana Kamineni surprise personal questions on stage to Sadhguru about her life RRR and asked why people question her relationship with her husband, Unable to Reproduce have kids. Sadhguru answered her indirectly going around not giving any straight answer.

California based Dr. Prem Sagar Reddy got Life time Achievement Award and grandly felicitated by the whole ATA team in a grand manner covered by media and applauds from audience for his year’s of tremendous contribution to telugu communities and organizations, also as a doctor helped/guided/supported thousands of people and changed their lives for better. Dr.Prem Reddy thanked ATA team for the recognition and gave an excellent speech addressing audience about the importance of community service and as we united telugu people we all stand together from both states (Telangana and Andhra states) in USA.

American Actress Jo Sharma (Jyotsna) who works in Indian movies got felicitated by ATA President. She mentioned in her speech about her 3 upcoming Telugu/Hindi movies as heroine and Hollywood movie venture. She thanked ATA organization for recognizing NRI talent. She is also Federation of Indo-American Association(FIA) Cultural Chair Person in California.
