The Mumbai grand press meet event of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ on Friday was super successful. Icon Star Allu Arjun and others, speaking on the occasion, underlined the unprecedented efforts that went into making the sequel. The film will be released in theatres on December 5th.
The moment of the evening came when the lead pair of the movie danced for the song, ‘Angaron’. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna looked absolutely elated about the love their movie has been receiving.
AA Films Anil Thadani said, “The swag of Allu Arjun has made this film a wildfire phenomenon.” He thanked the producers for reposing confidence in him.
T-Series Bhushan Kumar said, “T-Series started its association with Mythri Movie Makers with ‘Pushpa 1’. Our association has been taken to a different level in the case of ‘Pushpa 2’. Director Sukumar is such a dedicated filmmaker. The music of ‘Pushpa 2’ is a blockbuster.” He raised a toast to Allu Arjun and Devi Sri Prasad, wishing them all the best.”
Producer Naveen Yerneni said, “We always knew that the response to our movie events would be huge, but everything only exceeded our expectations. Our hero and our director have been working immensely hard. Allu Arjun garu is the most hardworking hero in the country.”
Producer Y Ravi Shankar said that ‘Pushpa 2’ would be released on 12,000 screens on December 5. The IMAX release is going to be massive.
Rashmika Mandanna started her speech by recalling the experience of shooting opposite Allu Arjun on day one. “Today, five years later, he is like a family member. Sukumar sir is a genius. I think he is not from this planet! This five-year journey can’t be described in one sentence. I don’t know how to process that this journey has ended. I am excited about the release of our film on Pushpa 2,” she added.
Icon Star Allu Arjun mentioned his memories of ‘Pushpa’ right from the year 2020. The National Award-winning actor spoke of the soft nature of the film’s title and how it contrasted with Pushpa Raj’s persona. “We established the contrast with a poster and it really lit up,” he added. “In the last 69 years, no Telugu actor had been honoured with a National Award. I took it to heart. I could win the honour only because of one man and that’s my director, Sukumar garu,” Bunny said. The actor spoke of an era when doing at least one Hindi film was aspirational for Telugu actors. “From that stage to this, we have come a long way,” he added. Allu Arjun spoke of the lady get-up in the film and what went into the makeover. “My director is a maverick. He is a genius. The Jathara episode is the hardest I have ever worked on. I want the audience to experience the magic on screen,” the Icon Star said. He made it a point to thank the Patna crowds for the love they showered on him during the recent Pushpa event in the city. “It was a heavy feeling when the shoot was over. We worked on the Pushpa movies for five years. ‘Pushpa 2’ is the most anticipated and awaited movie in India, as per a survey. It’s a pride moment for us Telugus,” Bunny said. “People from every State, people from every language, every Indian all over the world is going to come together for the celebration called ‘Pushpa 2’.”
