R. Madhavan is one of the most versatile actors in Indian cinema. He is known for portraying diverse roles across a career spanning over two decades. He joins hands with director Ashwni Dhir and Zee5 for the satirical thriller, Hisaab Barabar. Renowned actors Neil Nitin Mukesh and Kriti Kulhari feature in key roles alongside him. The film is set to have its worldwide premiere on Zee5 on January 24, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Ahead of its release, the team released the trailer and introduced audiences to the gripping world of Hisaab Barabar. The film is centered on the fight between a common man and a con man. Madhavan plays Radhe Mohan Sharma, an honest and principled Railway Ticket Checker. When a minor discrepancy in his bank account catches his attention, Sharma unearths a massive scam, plunging him into a murky world rife with fraud, deceit, and corruption. He finds himself pitted against the ruthless and corrupt banker Mickey Mehta, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh.
The conflict between Sharma and Mehta unfolds through a series of suspenseful twists and turns, blending humor with sharp social commentary. The film explores how an ordinary man challenges a corrupt system and a cunning conman, forming the core of this thrilling narrative.
Director Ashni Dhir stated that Hisaab Baraabar is a unique blend of drama, sharp wit, and thought-provoking social commentary. He said, “With a powerhouse cast led by R.
