Hero Naga Shaurya is currently starring in an out-and-out action entertainer, directed by debutant Raam Desina (Ramesh) and produced by newcomer Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi under the banner of Sri Vaishnavi Films. To mark Naga Shaurya’s birthday, the title and first look of the film were unveiled today.
Titled attention-grabbingly Bad Boy Karthik, the film reflects the intense nature of Naga Shaurya’s character. The first look poster presents him in a fierce avatar – sitting aggressively on the back of a van with a piercing gaze. His forehead is marked with blood designed in the traditional “3 Govinda Namalu.” Blood stains are also visible on his hands. Notably, the word “BAD” has been conspicuously removed from the “Hyderabad” on the van, subtly hinting at his character’s aggressive nature and indicating the film’s action-packed genre.
Vidhi is the leading lady opposite Naga Shaurya. Bad Boy Karthik also features a distinguished cast that includes Samuthirakani, Sr Naresh, Saikumar, Vennela Kishore, Mime Gopi, Sridevi Vijaykumar, and Vennela Kishore.
The film boasts top-tier technical talent, with renowned cinematographer Rasool Ellore handling the camera work and music director Harris Jayaraj, making his comeback to Telugu cinema, composing the soundtrack. Ramanjaneyulu is in charge of the art direction, while the editing is overseen by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
As the shoot nears completion, the team has kick-started the promotional activities with this intriguing first look poster and plans to come up with regular updates.
