‘L2 Empuraan’ to hit the screens on March 27th

Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s much-anticipated film, L2E: Empuraan, has confirmed its arrival on March 27, 2025. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, this Mohanlal-starrer political action-thriller is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Written by Murali Gopy, L2E: Empuraan is the second installment in the Lucifer trilogy. Subaskaran, Antony Perumbavoor, and Gokulam Gopalan are jointly producing the project on a lavish scale under their respective banners Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies.

Alongside Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab’raam alias Stephen Nedumpally, L2E: Empuraan features a stellar cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Nyla Usha, Giju John, Nandhu, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Manikuttan, Aneesh G. Menon, Sshivada, Alexx O’Nell, Eriq Ebouaney, Mikhail Novikov, and Karthikeya Dev in pivotal roles. British actor Jerome Flynn, best known for his work in Game of Thrones, is also making his Indian debut by playing a crucial role in L2E: Empuraan.

L2E: Empuraan hit the floors on October 5, 2023, in Faridabad. The filming continued in various other locations, including Shimla, Leh, the United Kingdom, the United States, Chennai, Gujarat, Hyderabad, the United Arab Emirates, Mumbai, and Kerala. The movie was shot on a 1:2.8 aspect ratio to give a visually rich and immersive theatrical experience to the viewers.

The promotions of L2E: Empuraan kickstarted earlier this year through the grand teaser launch event held in Kochi on January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day. Soon, the makers started releasing the character-introduction posters from February 9. Along with the posters, the team also released exclusive 2-3-minute videos about each character. This campaign ended with the launch of Mohanlal’s powerful first-look poster on February 26.

L2E: Empuraan is now all set to have a grand worldwide theatrical release on March 27, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Get ready for a high-octane political action ride and one of the biggest cinematic experiences of this year.
