The film “45”, featuring Shiva Rajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty in lead roles, is produced by Smt. Uma Ramesh Reddy and M. Ramesh Reddy under the Suraj Production banner. Notably, popular music director Arjun Janya is making his directorial debut with this film. Positioned as a big pan-India project, the movie is all set for a grand theatrical release soon. The teaser of “45” was launched in a grand event held in Hyderabad.
Producer M. Ramesh Reddy said: “Thanks to everyone who attended the teaser launch of ‘45’. We poured our hearts into this project, and we need your support. I can confidently say that a film with this kind of concept hasn’t been made in Indian cinema before. A film like ‘45’ is much needed in today’s social scenario. It explores elements related to Sanatana Dharma. ‘45’ is packed with all the elements that audiences love. I will share more details about the film during the trailer launch.”
Director Arjun Janya shared: “I’m happy to be directing ‘45’ with Shiva Rajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty. When I narrated the story to Shiva Rajkumar, he encouraged me to direct it myself. That gave me the confidence to take on direction. Shiva Rajkumar will be seen in a unique role in this movie. Even though he wasn’t keeping well, he gave his full support during the shoot.
Upendra is an actor who can portray any kind of role. He’s a director’s actor. We pre-visualized every scene in the movie—including CG, dialogues, and BGM—before shooting, which helped minimize waste and save budget. Telugu cinema has many talented directors, and I hope they also explore such approaches. The screenplay of ‘45’ is unique, even with all commercial elements.”
Actor Upendra said: “Director Arjun Janya has portrayed me in a completely new light in ‘45’. When he first came to narrate the story, I was casually dressed at home, and he said that look would be perfect for my role. There’s also a creatively used dialogue in the film related to my movie ‘Om’.
Arjun Janya, who has composed for over a hundred super-hit films, has now turned director, and I’m happy about that. I made ‘Om’ with Shiva Rajkumar, and on the second day of shooting, he predicted I’d become a great director, which made me nervous, but also motivated. I’m happy to be working with him again.
The story and our characters in ‘45’ are a suspense for now, but the film has all the elements—class, mass, and entertainment. Also, I’m thrilled to have worked with Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna in ‘Coolie’. I consider Rajinikanth my Ekalavya Guru.”
Actor Shiva Rajkumar Said : “Arjun Janya narrated the story to me in just 4–5 minutes, and I decided to go ahead with the project titled ‘45’. When he suggested someone else could direct it, I insisted that he himself should take up direction because only he could do justice to this story.
I’m happy to act alongside Upendra again. He’s immensely talented and lives and breathes cinema. I’ve learned a lot from him, at the end of the shoot, I was diagnosed with cancer. Even while undergoing chemotherapy, I continued shooting.
Raj B Shetty couldn’t attend the event today. In ‘45’, none of our roles overpower the others—the story itself is the true hero. It will be the main driving force of the film. Arjun will earn great recognition with this film. The audience will see a unique screenplay.
