
Cinematographer Kushendar Ramesh Reddy has been honored with the Best Cinematographer Award at the 15th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival for his outstanding work in the film Razakar. His captivating visuals in Razakar mesmerized audiences and brought the film’s powerful narrative to life.
Having started his career as a Chief Associate Cinematographer under K.K. Senthil Kumar for iconic films like Eega, Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2, and RRR, Ramesh Reddy has steadily climbed the ladder of success. His journey has now brought him to national recognition as one of the leading cinematographers in the country.
Razakar, directed by Yaata Satyanarayana, portrays the untold stories of bravery during the reign of the Nizam and the atrocities committed by the Razakars. The film highlights the monumental efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a key role in integrating the princely state of Hyderabad into the Indian Union. Ramesh Reddy’s cinematography brought this historical drama to life, serving as a powerful visual testimony to India’s hidden past.

His emotionally stirring visuals in Razakar earned critical acclaim, culminating in this prestigious award. Currently, Ramesh Reddy is working on Barbarik, directed by Mohan Srivatsa and presented by director Maruthi under the Vanara Celluloid banner. He is also handling cinematography for 12A Railway Colony, a film starring Allari Naresh and Kamakshi Bhaskarla, written and directed by Nani, with a story by Polimera director Anil Vishwanath, produced by Chitturi Srinivas under the SSS Production House banner.
