The popular production house RS Infotainment, under the visionary leadership of Elred Kumar, recently unveiled its 16th feature film, MANDAADI — a raw and emotionally charged sports action drama. Helmed by director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, known for his impactful debut Selfie, the film promises a deeper, more expansive cinematic experience this time around. Stepping into the spotlight is Soori, whose transformation into a leading man in intense, content-rich roles continues to impress. Telugu actor Suhas makes his Tamil debut, while Mahima Nambiar joins as the female lead, adding to the film’s broad regional appeal.
After revealing the title, the makers recently unveiled the first look of Soori, which received a positive response. Today, they followed it up with the first look of Suhas, showcasing him in a strikingly raw and rugged avatar. Sporting grey hair and clad in a lungi, Suhas appears in a team jersey, standing with his crew—aptly named the Tsunami Riders—on a windswept seashore with a boat anchored behind them.
Another poster features both Soori and Suhas, each navigating their own boat with intense, determined expressions, symbolizing a powerful clash or journey ahead. These visuals hint at the gritty and emotionally charged dynamic between the film’s two central characters. Suhas plays a strong and powerful antagonist in the movie being mounted on massive scale with a high budget.
The ensemble cast features powerhouse performers like Sathyaraj, Ravindra Vijay, and Achyuth Kumar, all of whom play pivotal roles in anchoring the film’s emotional and dramatic weight. With a story rooted in grit and resilience, Mandaadi is shaping up to be more than just a sports film — it’s a narrative of survival, identity, and inner strength.

Backing the storytelling is a top-tier technical crew: G.V. Prakash Kumar composing the music, S.R. Kathir ISC behind the lens, and action sequences choreographed by Peter Hein. Pradeep E. Ragav handles editing, while D.R.K. Kiran and R. Harihara Suthan ensure rich visuals through production design and VFX, respectively.
