Tamannaah Bhatia’s latest supernatural thriller, Odela 2, has emerged as a blockbuster on the streaming platform, proving its mettle well beyond the big screen. The film, which began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on May 8, has captivated audiences for the last couple of weeks.
Serving as a spiritual sequel to Odela Railway Station, Odela 2 expands the mystical universe with a darker, more ambitious narrative. Helmed by director Ashok Teja and backed creatively by showrunner Sampath Nandi, the film thrusts Tamannaah into the intense and enigmatic role of a Naga Sadhu.
The film has exploded in popularity on OTT platform. According to Ormax Media’s latest viewership report for the week of May 12–18, Odela 2 drew an impressive 3.8 million views, earning it the second spot on the national streaming charts. Odela 2 continues to trend top on Amazon Prime in its second week as well.
Produced on a grand scale by D Madhu on Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks, Odela 2 also featured Hebah Patel, and Vasishta N Simha in other prominent roles.
