National award-winning actor Dhanush’s Tamil release, ‘Captain Miller,’ has already crossed 100 crores and is now set to captivate the Telugu audience on January 26th. In anticipation of this, the talented actress of the movie Priyanka Arul Mohan shares her working experience, the uniqueness of the film, and insights into her character.
How do you feel appearing in Telugu after a gap with ‘Captain Miller’?
Feeling nice to come to Telugu. The movie took a year to complete, and my previous dubbed movies, ‘Doctor,’ And ‘Don’ have been released and entertained audience, so I’m very happy.
What can we expect from your role in ‘Captain Miller’?
The film itself is very fresh, different, and unique. Set in the backdrop of the 1930s, everything in the film looks fresh for the audience—different characters, costumes, and a unique setting.
What homework did you do to work with an amazing actor like Dhanush for ‘Captain Miller’?
Nothing specific, but director Arun Matheswaran briefed us about the movie and the character. We followed his guidance for body language and character portrayal.
Why do you choose performance-based roles?
It depends on the story. If I like the story and my character, I take it up. ‘Captain Miller’ came along, and I really liked the story and the character as narrated by the director.
Shooting under the sun in a rugged role, how was it working with director Arun Matheswaran?
I really liked his previous film, and he is a sensible director with a clear vision. Being part of a big canvas movie, I really look up to him.
Any other Telugu movies you have signed up for?
I am doing a movie with Pawan Kalyan called ‘OG.’
What have you learned from working with versatile actors like Pawan Kalyan, Nani, and Dhanush?
They are all hardworking and dedicated to their craft. Additionally, they are humble individuals.
How do you think the Telugu audience will receive the movie, considering its success in Tamil?
I think they will really like it. The story, action, and emotions in the movie will be enjoyable for the audience.
How do you perceive the industry’s number game in terms of actress rankings?
I don’t understand the number game because everyone is doing their best, and I don’t involve myself in such things. I just focus on doing my job to the best of my ability.
