Actor Naveen Chandra is gearing up for the release of his latest bilingual investigative thriller Leven, which is set to hit theatres worldwide on May 16. Directed by Lokesh Ajls—who previously worked under director Sundar C.—Leven is produced by Ajmal Khan and Reya Hari under AR Entertainment, known for their critically acclaimed films like Sila Nerangalil Sila Manithargal and Sembi.
The film will hit screens worldwide on May 16, with theatrical rights acquired by leading distributor N. Sudhakar Reddy of Ruchira Entertainments. With strong buzz generated by its promos, Eleven is expected to be a summer box-office standout.
Speaking at a press meet, Naveen Chandra shared his excitement about the film’s reception:
“The title Eleven is deeply tied to the story — audiences will understand its meaning only after watching the film. During the Tamil screenings, the response was overwhelming. We received a standing ovation, and the twists and emotional high points really connected with viewers. It’s been a while since I’ve experienced such a powerful reaction in theatres.”

The actor emphasized the uniqueness of the narrative:
“This film explores an emotional concept never before attempted in thrillers. The writing is strong, the logic is intact throughout, and the screenplay is gripping. It’s hard to predict where the story is going — that’s what makes it so exciting.”
Shot separately in both Telugu and Tamil, Eleven was crafted with specific cultural sensibilities in mind.
“We didn’t just translate the script — we rewrote it in each language. I dubbed for both versions myself. I speak eight languages and always prefer to voice my own roles.”
Naveen also spoke about balancing intense roles with personal life:
“In the early days, I used to carry my character home after shooting. But over time, especially after marriage, I’ve learned to switch off once I’m off set.”
He’s also playing the antagonist in Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Mass Jathara:
“Ravi Teja garu personally recommended me. My character in this film is as unique as the one in Aravinda Sametha. Even the look is something audiences haven’t seen from me before.”

Beyond Eleven, the actor is busy with several projects, including Honey (a dark-themed drama), Kaali (an action film), a Tamil project, and a comedy film directed by Hari.
“It’s my first time doing comedy, and it’s been a refreshing experience. I’m always looking to explore different roles and grow my audience with every film.”
With Eleven, Naveen Chandra is confident that audiences are in for a thrilling and emotionally charged ride at the movies.
