Blockbuster maker Boyapati Sreenu is presently directing God of Masses Nandamuri Balakrishna for their fourth collaboration, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam. This spiritual-action extravaganza, a sequel to the roaring success Akhanda, is set to take the cinematic experience to the next level with its powerful storytelling, high-octane sequences, and intense drama. Backed by 14 Reels Plus banner, the project is being bankrolled by dynamic producers Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta. Adding to its grandeur, the film is proudly presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri.
The next shooting schedule of the film is set to take place in Georgia. Currently, director Boyapati Sreenu is on a recce, scouting for uncharted and picturesque locations across the country where key sequences featuring Balakrishna and other prominent cast members will be filmed. With Georgia’s scenic beauty as the backdrop, these scenes are expected to be a visual treat for the audience. Demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the project, Boyapati Sreenu is even celebrating his birthday amidst the recce in Georgia—a clear testament to his commitment and passion for the cinema.
Samyuktha plays the female lead in the highly anticipated sequel, which is being made on a larger scale with a significantly bigger budget. The movie also stars the talented young actor Aadhi Pinisetty in a powerful and intense character.
The production is powered by a top-tier crew, with acclaimed composer S Thaman handling the soundtrack, C Ramprasad behind the lens, Tammiraju in charge of editing, and AS Prakash takes care as the art director.
Akhanda 2 is planned for a wide Pan India release on September 25, 2025, perfectly timed to light up the Dussehra festival season.
