The book launch event of “Mindset Shift”, authored by Dr. Sharani, was held on Thursday at the SS Convention in Vijayawada. Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu garu, and Padma Vibhushan Megastar Shri Chiranjeevi garu attended the event as Chief Guests. Dr. Sharani is the daughter of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, Ponguru Narayana.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chandrababu Naidu stated that positive thinking and strong dedication are key factors in achieving success. Citing Chiranjeevi as an example, he said, “Chiranjeevi garu came from a common family with no film background. His resolution to become an actor and the positive mindset he developed helped him reach great heights. After NTR garu shifted into politics, Chiranjeevi garu rose in the film industry by seizing the opportunity and filling the void with extreme hard work and determination.”
Appreciating Chiranjeevi’s contributions to social service through his blood bank, Chandrababu Naidu said that Chiranjeevi was the first actor to come up with such a noble idea. He said, “Back when I was the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, I used to meet Chiranjeevi garu regularly. During one of those meetings, he requested me to allocate land for setting up a blood bank. It’s rare for film actors to think beyond cinema and focus on public service. But Chiranjeevi garu stood out as the first actor to take such an initiative.”
On the other side, Megastar Shri Chiranjeevi said that a shift in mindset was an important factor behind his success. “When Dr. Sharani invited me to this launch, I was deeply impressed. I have always been intrigued by books on personality development and was personally inspired by The Secret. Everyone works hard, but working smart and cultivating the right mindset makes the difference. That is what this book is all about.”
“Coming from a humble background, I lacked clarity after my graduation. But my passion for acting since childhood, helped me discover my path. Despite facing criticism and negative responses, I pursued my dream with focus and dedication. When I revealed my plans of pursuing a career in acting to my parents, they supported my decision but also advised me to pursue another course as a backup. That’s when I joined the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI) alongside the Film Institute. I managed to balance both for a while, but eventually, I realised that acting was my true love. I made up my mind to give it everything I had. It was either make it in the film industry or not at all. I worked relentlessly to achieve success, and that dedication brought me to where I am today. However, success is not just about hard work and talent. It’s also shaped by our sincerity, personality, and humility. Many people achieve great things, but without character, they fail to earn lasting respect. No matter how far you go, it’s your values and integrity that truly define your journey,” he added.
When asked to share one powerful message that could help in reviving everyone’s mindset, Chiranjeevi said, “Life is not a cakewalk. It is filled with challenges and hurdles at every step. We work tirelessly and push ourselves to reach our goals, yet many still struggle due to unexpected disturbances, disappointments, and demotivation. But to overcome these “D”s, there’s one powerful “D” we must hold on to, which is “Determination”. That makes all the difference. In the early days of my career, I was often offered only supporting or negative roles. I used to feel very disappointed. But instead of letting that break me, I chose to treat every role as a stepping stone for my success. I performed each role with sincerity and conviction, trusting that the right opportunity would come. That consistency paid off. Audiences noticed the spark in me, and their recognition of my talent opened doors to lead roles. With time, I evolved from just another actor into a star.”
Chiranjeevi lauded Dr. Sharani for authoring “Mindset Shift” and said the book will benefit many people by helping them develop their personalities and achieve their goals more effectively.
Chiranjeevi also expressed his grief over the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “It is deeply saddening that innocent lives were lost in such a horrific act. Two individuals from our state were martyred. I commend Chandrababu Naidu garu and Pawan Kalyan for supporting the bereaved families during this time. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.” A moment of silence was observed during the event to pay respects to the lives lost in the attack.
The launch event was attended by Minister Ponguru Narayana, former Minister Shri Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and other dignitaries, making it a grand and memorable occasion.
