There are many events and stories in the world of Baahubali and Mahishmati that are unheard, unseen and unwitnessed. Disney + Hotstar and Graphic India recently launched animated series of one of India’s fan favorite film franchise, Hotstar Specials’ ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’, a story where Baahubali and Bhallaladeva will join hands to protect the great kingdom of Mahishmati and the throne against its greatest threat, the mysterious warlord, Raktadeva
A Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks production, Baahubali: Crown of Blood is produced by visionary S.S. Rajamouli, Sharad Devarajan & Shobu Yarlagadda, directed and produced by Jeevan J. Kang & Navin John.
Baahubali as a character is synonymous with strength and grit; to translate that on-screen with just your voice is no easy feat. Renowned dubbing artist Samarlakota Sairaj opens about his experience of lending his voice to the legendary character – Baahubali in Telugu and reveals his process and people who made this a success.
Elaborating further, dubbing artist Samarlakota Sairaj said, “It was a bit challenging. To match such an iconic voice and personality was a task. There was an expectation from the audience for the character already, so I felt like I had big shoes to fill. Hearing that I was selected motivated me. As I got more comfortable with the show and character, I was able to adapt my voice and grow into the character. I felt involved with the story thanks to the dubbing directors assisting me. Having a good dynamic with the sound engineer allowed me to remain in the flow of the character and dialogues during takes.”
Baahubali: Crown of Blood is streaming now only on Disney+ Hotstar.
