Introducing ‘Ramam’ on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami

To celebrate Sri Rama Navami, Venu Donepudi, the head of Chitralayam Studios, has launched the pan-India movie ‘Ramam’. The film carries a interesting tagline ‘The Rise of Akira’ and features a young Tollywood hero as the protagonist.

This illustrious film is being crafted with a narrative that emulates the journey of Lord Rama, who fought a war to establish dharma, exemplifying his path as an ideal for the world. The film centers around a heroic figure—a great warrior whose story is yet to be told on the Indian silver screen.

Venu Donepudi is introducing Lokamanya, a young and dynamic director who has collaborated with several prominent directors, as the director of this film. Ramam is being produced as a pan-India movie with a considerable budget and international production standards. On the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami, a revered festival for Indians, the makers unveiled the film’s title and motion poster.

Speaking on the occasion, producer Venu Donepudi stated, “The name of Sri Rama serves as a guiding mantra for humanity and our beloved nation. Lord Rama not only charted the course for establishing dharma but also showcased unparalleled valor in wielding the Kodanda bow to eradicate adharma, earning him immense praise. Drawing inspiration from this embodiment of virtue, Ramam presents a unique narrative that connects the ideals of Rama Rajya to the present era — a hitherto untold story. Pre-production work is currently underway, with filming set to commence soon.

This ambitious film is being crafted with uncompromising standards, adhering to the highest technical values internationally. A rising star from Tollywood will assume the lead role, joined by prominent actors and technicians from across the country.”
