Nikhil Siddhartha’s Karthikeya was a bilingual mystery thriller that revolved around Kartikeya temple on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The Tamil-Telugu film also featured Swati Reddy, Tanikella Bharani and Rao Ramesh among others in important roles. As the film completed 5 years of its theatrical release, the actor and director have team up together for a sequel. It’s now happening, the sequel titled ‘Karthikeya 2’ is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla are bankrolling under People Media Factory. The makers have made an official announcement about the sequel on June 1 on the occasion of hero Nikhil’s birthday, now the latest we hear is that Karthikeya 2 regular shooting will commence in October second week.
