Young and talented hero Kiran Abbavaram stars in the period thriller “KA.” Nayan Sarika and Tanvi Ram play the female leads in this film, which is presented by Mrs. Chinta Varalakshmi and produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under the banner Srichakraas Entertainments, featuring high production values. The director duo, Sujith and Sandeep, are crafting an action thriller set against a village backdrop. The film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, alongside Telugu, on the 31st of this month to coincide with the Diwali festival. “KA” will be released in Telugu by producer Vamsi Nandipati and in Malayalam by hero Dulquer Salmaan under his Wayfarer Films.
During the release date announcement press meet held today at Hyderabad, Kiran Abbavaram stated, “We have decided to release ‘KA’ on the 31st of this month for the Diwali festival. Many movies will be released on that day, and the theaters will be competitive. We chose this date thanks to Vamsi Nandipati, who, after watching our film, decided to back it with a good offer. We all believe in the content of ‘KA.’ Today’s audience is selective, booking tickets only if they like the content. Our teaser and songs have received a positive response, creating excitement about the new content. We aim to bring ‘KA’ to theaters with both commercial elements and strong content.”
Kiran further elaborated, “‘KA’ is set in the 1970s, appealing to both youth and family audiences. The song ‘Jathara’ is particularly special, with choreography by Vijay Polaki. Although I’m not fond of dancing, everything aligned well for this project, and I’ve received compliments on my performance. The film features an exciting 15-minute action sequence that we hope will impress audiences in theaters. With two weeks left until the release, we plan to drop the trailer on the 22nd and engage in extensive promotion during this time. Icon Star Allu Arjun visited our set on the first day of shooting to wish me success with the film, which was incredibly encouraging. We’re showcasing our content to everyone; no movie is released in any language without presenting the content first. The visuals and sound created by our directors are unprecedented in our cinema. ‘KA’ is the perfect title for our movie, and viewers will understand why after watching it. I was thrilled when I first heard the story, and I felt the same excitement upon seeing the final cut. Dulquer saw our film and decided to release it in Malayalam, coincidentally on the same date as his film ‘Lucky Baskhar.’ This timing was unintentional, but I wish success to all films during this festive season.”
Director Sandeep stated: “I’m happy that our film ‘KA’ is set to release on October 31st. Since we first shared the story, Kiran has given us complete freedom. He did not interfere in any aspect, allowing us to create the film as we envisioned. You will experience the same emotions we felt while making it when you watch it in theaters. We crafted a unique storyline and aimed to present it with a fresh screenplay.”
Director Sujeeth added: “‘KA’ is set against the backdrop of the 1970s, a time when information was conveyed by postmen. This film revolves around the life of a postman named Abhinav Vasudev and explores what he did for his special hobby. It reveals why he traveled to a particular village and the events he encountered there. The movie is based on a screenplay, and ‘KA’ unfolds with a distinctive storytelling style. Since we first discussed the character, Kiran has fully immersed himself in the role. When you watch the film in theaters, you will see Abhinav Vasudev, not Kiran Abbavaram; he has transformed completely into the character.”
Producer and distributor Vamsi Nandipati mentioned: “We are releasing ‘KA’ on October 3qst, and we have complete faith in the movie’s content. I am confident that ‘KA’ will resonate with audiences. People will always watch good content, regardless of competition. We are also planning to premiere the film on the 30th. With the festival holidays approaching, we see it as an advantage. The reason I took on this film is Kiran Abbavaram. Despite intense competition in film distribution, Kiran entrusted the rights to me. After seeing the content, I felt I had undervalued it. While other films are also releasing on the 31st, I hope they all succeed, as we consider ourselves one big film family.”
Heroine Tanvi Ram expressed: “I am happy to be part of ‘KA’ as the heroine. When the directors first pitched the story, they gave us a glimpse of the plot, and later, when they revealed the full script, I became curious about what would happen next. Everyone is talking about how good the content is, and we believed in it from the beginning. Some scenes appeared even better after editing and with the background score. In Malayalam films, songs often get more emphasis, but in this film, I felt very happy watching my dances on screen. I hope ‘KA’ brings great success to our entire team.”
Co-Producer Chinta Rajasekhar Reddy stated: “We are bringing ‘KA’ for a pan-India release on October 31st. I would like to thank the entire team that worked on this film. You will see a new type of content in our project. Special thanks to Vamsi Nandipati for releasing it in Telugu. My father was supposed to attend this event, but he couldn’t make it due to some commitments. Our entire team is confident about the success of ‘KA’.”
