The talented young hero Kiran Abbavaram stars in the upcoming movie Dilruba, with Rukshar Dhillon playing the female lead. The film is being produced by Sivam Celluloids and the renowned music label Saregama, under the banner of A Yoodle Film. Ravi, Jojo Jose, Rakesh Reddy, and Saregama are serving as producers, with Viswa Karun as the director. Dilruba is set for a grand theatrical release in February. The teaser for the movie was unveiled at a special event in Hyderabad today.
At the event, co-producer Suresh Reddy shared, “We hope you all enjoyed the teaser of Dilruba. Especially the youth audience will appreciate it. This movie is a blend of love and action, and we believe it will resonate with the audience. Dilruba will be to Kiran Abbavaram what Arya was to Allu Arjun. After his movie KA, Kiran has made another fresh attempt with this film. This is the second production from Sivam Celluloids, and we are thrilled to have Saregama on board. Hero Kiran Abbavaram said, “Before talking about Dilruba, I must first thank our production house, Saregama. I’m happy to be the hero in their first Telugu movie. They took great care of me and my team, and I was impressed with their professionalism. Our producer Ravi has been in distribution for a long time. I met Ravi and Suresh Reddy in 2019 when I approached them to distribute my film Raja Vaaru Rani Garu. Ravi is passionate about cinema. He liked the story and decided to produce the film. Since then, he has been working hard for the movie, always thinking about how to make it better and how to reach a wider audience. Even though he is a producer, he works as if he’s still in distribution, always seeking ways to improve the film.
“I’ve known director Karun for three years. One day, he told me the story, and I immediately found his way of telling it very fresh and impressive. He has a unique approach to storytelling that stands out. The character I play, Siddhu, in Dilruba is very special and hard-hitting. He doesn’t back down on anything, especially when it comes to love, and is committed to his beliefs for life. You’ll see such characters in real life, and I’m sure the audience will connect with Dilruba.
“I’m fortunate to have DOP Vishwas in my team, his work is courageous and impactful. Production designer Sudheer also worked tirelessly for this film. Dilruba has the best music album of my career, and I thank Sam CS for that. National Award-winning editor Praveen garu has done a fantastic job editing the film. We are releasing Dilruba in February, and both our producer Ravi, who loves cinema, and director Karun are working hard to make it a big hit.
“In the movie, Siddhu says, ‘Strong men don’t have attitude, they have character.’ Everyone who believes in character will like Dilruba. The theory the hero believes in is something very new, and I really liked that aspect. We’ll reveal more about it in the trailer. Dilruba is sure to deliver intense entertainment with a compelling love story. It will definitely live up to the expectations that the audience has after my movie KA. As a young hero, I want to act in as many movies as possible. Only then can I provide opportunities to many new technicians. I’m currently working on four films and my goal is to release at least three films a year. I will strive to achieve that.”
