Legend of Indian Cinema awarded with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Legend of Indian Cinema, Big B Amitabh Bachchan will be awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar has tweeted the same. After making his acting debut with Saat Hindustani, Amitabh entertained and inspired the entire Nation for many years with his films. Amitabh has been selected unanimously for India’s highest award in cinema, DadaSahabPhalke award”.

Yesterday, film fraternity, hardcore fans and movie lovers across the world showered love on Bachchan by congratulating him. Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Mohanlal, Pawan Kalyan, Karan Johar, Dada Saheb Phalke award committee jury member Asha Bhonsle and numerous other celebrities across the country took to social media and congratulated the legendary actor and thanked him for entertaining the country for the last 5 decades. The Government of India honored Amitabh with the Padma Shri in 1984, the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015 for his contributions to the arts. Bachchan also received four National Film Awards for his superb acting in ‘Agneepath’, ‘Black’, ‘Paa’ and ‘Piku’ and he is only hero in Indian Film History who Nominated for 40 times in Film Fare Awards.
