The Malayalam survival thriller Manjummel Boys directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, and featuring Soubin Shahir, Ganapathi, Khalid Rahman, and Sreenath Bhasi was an industry hit, and also one of the highest grossers in India this year with over 200 Cr gross in Malayalam alone. The movie produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony under Parava Films was a big hit in Tamil as well.
Pan India production house Mythri Movie Makers is bringing the survival thriller to the Telugu audience. The Telugu version is presented by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili. The movie will release in the Telugu states on April 6th. Meanwhile, the makers came up with the Telugu trailer.
As the trailer suggests, the film is also about hope and grit. As is known, it is based on a true story. While the initial portions show the friendship of the batch, the latter half is filled with emotions and thrills. Director Chidambaram pulled off a brilliantly crafted survival thriller.
A group of happy-go-lucky young friends batch embark on a dream trip to Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. They explore the lengths and breadths of the hill town, including the popular Guna caves originally known as Devil’s Kitchen where Kamal Haasan’s Gunaa was shot. Unfortunately, one of the friends falls into one of the deepest pits in the cave, leaving the others in panic. The rest is about the rescue mission to save the guy.
