No one else has seen the hardships the movie went through for the shooting of “28°C”

Young producer Sai Abhishek is making his debut as a producer with the emotional thriller love story, 28°C. He has produced this movie under the banner of Veeranjaneya Productions, with Naveen Chandra and Shalini Vadnikatti as the lead pair. Directed by Polimera fame Dr. Anil Vishwanath, 28°C marks his directorial debut. The movie is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on April 4th. In an interview held today, producer Sai Abhishek shared the highlights of 28°C.

  • “Dr. Anil Vishwanath and I are close friends with a shared passion for filmmaking. Anil joined the direction department of the film Kshanam, and I also dabbled in direction for a while. After some time, Anil and I decided to collaborate on a movie. The concept of ’28°C’, with its unique temperature theme, really impressed me. We believed it would offer a fresh experience to the audience.”
  • “Initially, we considered other actors for the lead role, but we ultimately chose Naveen Chandra, who we felt was perfect for the part. As for the heroine, Anjali was our first choice, but we decided to cast Shalini instead, as we wanted a new, trendy face. We shot the film in multiple locations, starting in Vizag, then moving to Goa, and later, Georgia. We made sure to maintain high production quality, with no compromises. Our entire team had full faith in the movie’s content.”
  • “’28°C’ was completed in 2019, and we initially planned to release it in May 2020. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the release was delayed. Though we received offers from OTT platforms, we didn’t anticipate such high demand from them. We were keen on releasing the film theatrically to give the audience the true cinematic experience. After discussing with my co-producers, Anil, and the team, we decided to wait for the situation to improve. While we hoped things would return to normal soon, the delay extended for months. Now, thanks to the initiative of Vamsi Nandipati, we are set to release 28°C in theaters on the 4th of this month.”
  • “Naveen Chandra has been a great support throughout the process. He believed in the movie from the beginning and continues to support it during the promotional phase as well. His performance is sure to leave an impression on the audience. Similarly, Shalini has delivered a commendable performance. Her character in the film faces a unique health challenge related to the temperature of ’28°C’. If her body temperature exceeds this, her life is at risk. It will be fascinating for the audience to see how the couple deals with such a situation. The movie doesn’t fit neatly into a single genre; it’s an intense love story that weaves through different genres. Director Anil Vishwanath has crafted the film to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.”
  • “We faced several challenges while making this movie. I fractured my leg when the shoot began in Vizag. Later, while shooting in Georgia, we faced difficulties as the authorities initially didn’t grant us permission. However, after the media reported on our high production costs, the officials in Georgia eventually gave us the green light. Despite these obstacles, we have always been confident in the film’s content and are hopeful that the audience will respond positively when it releases in theaters.”
  • “We are currently exploring a few story ideas, but nothing has been finalized yet. We will announce a new project from our company after the release of 28°C.”
