Tell us about your background? How did you get into this project?
I studied college in Bangalore. I am also a member of the theatre group there. It was there that interest in acting grew. I loved playing different roles and immersing myself in them. After completing college, my father wanted me to study for civils. I have been studying for almost three years. But the desire to become an actress was strong. I came to Hyderabad to fulfil that dream. I did theatre workshops here. I approached the director for a role in this film. Then he was looking for the role of Nizam’s wife. They felt that I was suitable for that role.
Was it a challenge to play this role?
She appeared as Nizam’s wife in this. It is a very strong yet sensitive character. That character who informs the Nizam of the actual situation. My role felt challenging when the story was told. Also the only glamor role in this is mine. Starting my career with such a strong story and character is like a dream come true. I also took method training for three months for this role. After a look test with Makarand Desh Pandey, I was selected. I think this role will be a great match for my career.
How do you feel about the response to the film ‘Razakar’?
Thank you to the audience for supporting the movie ‘Razakar’ so much. ‘Razakar’ is the story of this land. The response to the film has given me a lot of joy. The audience is getting very emotional after watching the movie. Patriotism was seen in the eyes of the audience while watching the film. When I saw the slogans of Vande Matharam and Bharat Mathaki Jai chanted in the theatres, I felt happy to be a part of such a film. Thank you to director Yata Satyanarayana and producer Guduru Narayana Reddy for giving me a chance in such a good movie.
How did it feel to act with so many famous actors?
Acting in ‘Razakar’ was a great experience. There is a chance to work with many famous actors. It is a great feeling to share the screen with an amazing actor like Makarand Desh Pandey along with Bobby Simha, Raj Arjun. I learned many things from them.
Your favourite hero and heroine?
I love the acting of Ranbir Kapoor and Ram Charan. I love intense emotion in Ram Charan. I like Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Shetty and Keerthy Suresh as heroines. Keerthy’s performance in Mahanati is amazing. I wish to appear in such a good role in future.
What is your family background? When did you become interested in acting?
My father is CA. Mom is a housewife. I started my career from modelling. In 2018, I also participated in the Miss India pageant from Chhattisgarh. My mother used to model too. Mother got interested in modelling. Also, as mentioned earlier, I was interested in acting from my college days. I enjoy acting a lot.
What kind of roles do you want to play in the future?
I am ready to play any role in a good story. Along with characters, good story, director and team are important.
