Renowned director Ram Gopal Varma’s new film ‘Saaree’ features Sathya Yadu and Aradhya Devi in the lead roles. This film is made as a psychological thriller and is directed by Giri Krishna Kamal. The film is produced by prominent businessman Ravishankar Varma under the banner of RGV, AARVI Productions LLP. ‘ Saaree ‘ will be released on April 4th in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam languages on a pan-India scale. Today, the trailer release event of ‘Saaree’ was held grandly in Hyderabad.
Director Ram Gopal Varma speaking at the event – When we talk directly with someone, we connect with them better. But when we communicate through social media apps like WhatsApp, since we don’t see the other person directly, we tend to get closer to them quickly. We end up sharing personal matters. Once we become close to someone, fear and psychological feelings attach us even more. Sharing personal things like this can lead to many problems later. ‘Saaree’ is based on this theme. At its core, this is a very serious subject. I wrote the original story for this film, and Giri Krishna Kamal directed it. I cast Aradhya after seeing a reel of her in a saree. Her performance was superb. Sathya is a trained actor and performed very well. Though I wouldn’t say that the film carries a specific message, I believe after watching ‘Saaree ‘, girls will be more cautious. Politics and films are separate. I don’t think we will have any problem with theatres in Andhra Pradesh for ‘Shaari’. Everything will follow the legal process. If Posani is arrested, his films won’t stop, right? Social media was initially made to bring people closer. But now, it’s being used to fight and abuse others. People express their opinions freely, which is causing this. I have never used my social media accounts for advertisements. Even if I promoted something, actors and stars might not be aware of whether it’s a legal organization or not. Authorities should make actors aware of this. Taking sudden actions is not right, though.
Director Giri Krishna Kamal speaking – I thank RGV sir for giving me the opportunity to direct ‘Saaree’. While making this film, I wanted to show what I can do as a director. I shot a portion and showed it to RGV sir, and he liked it. I got two fantastic actors, Sathya Yadu and Aradhya, for this project. I didn’t know how Aradhya would perform. I had only seen her reels, but she performed fantastically. Sathya had to perform several scenes without any other actor in front of him. He did an excellent job in those scenes. Because of their great performances, the pressure on me as a director was reduced.
Heroine Aradhya Devi speaking – I thank Ram Gopal Varma sir for giving me the opportunity to act in ‘Saaree’. This movie is like a dream project for me. Director Krishna Kamal gave me the freedom I needed to portray my character. Working on this film felt like a workshop for me. Sathya Yadu is a wonderful co-star, and it was a pleasure working with him. I believe you will all like the trailer of ‘Saaree ‘. Hero Sathya Yadu speaking – I got the opportunity to act in ‘ Saaree ‘ through an audition. After I was selected, RGV sir called me, and I was really happy when he spoke to me. Though my character is small in the movie, it plays a crucial role in the story. Director Krishna Kamal gave me the freedom to understand and perform the role. I used to have a camera fear, but Aradhya had no such fear. She did an amazing job.
