Superstar Krishna’s last film, “Prema Charitra – Krishna Vijayam”, is releasing on January 3. Directed and produced by Madhusudhan Hawaldar, the movie will reach audiences worldwide after overcoming several hurdles. With music by M. M. Sreelekha, the film stars notable actors such as Nagababu and Ali, alongside lead pair Yashwant and Suhasini.
To mark this milestone, director-producer Madhusudhan Hawaldar shared his thoughts:
“My journey as a director began with ‘Vamsham’, a film featuring just three actors: Nagababu, Chandramohan, and Baladitya. It won multiple awards and brought me significant recognition.”
“After ‘Vamsham’, I directed the Telugu versions of Kannada films like ‘America America’ and ‘Number One Hero’. Both movies gave me immense satisfaction and a strong foothold as a filmmaker.”
“My fourth film, ‘Prema Charitra – Krishna Vijayam’, is a golden chapter in my career as I had the opportunity to direct a legend like Superstar Krishna. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the release faced unusual delays. Meanwhile, I became busy directing and composing music for Kannada films.
“However, the thought of Krishna sir’s film remaining unreleased was disheartening. So, I utilized the latest technology to enhance the movie quality and prepared it for release. I’m thrilled that the film is generating good business buzz. We’re releasing it on a large scale across the Telugu states, Karnataka, and other regions. I’m confident Krishna sir’s fans will cherish this film.”
Hawaldar has directed six Kannada films, including Aamarma, December 16, Sree Dasaru, sree Jagannadha Dasaru, Sree Prasanna Venkata Dasaro, and Sree Vijaya Dasaru, earning him widespread acclaim.
“Currently, I have five projects at various stages of production. Apart from directing, I am a music director as well, composing for my films and others. My upcoming bilingual project, ‘Naa Koothuru Love Story’, is an emotionally intense love story in Telugu and Kannada.”
