‘Tillu Square’ team celebrates movie success meet

Star Boy and actor-writer Siddhu Jonnalagadda paired up with Anupama Parameswaran for Tillu Square, the sequel to DJ Tillu, which hit theatres today. Directed by Mallik Ram, the film, produced by S Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments and presented by Srikara Studios, has released to overwhelming responses worldwide. Commemorating its success, the team came together for a success meet today.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda stated, “I thank my producers, Trivikram for believing us. It’s their trust that helped us all along. I was silent during promotions because I wanted the film to speak. We cast Anupama for the value she brought as a performer. She elevated the role. I wanted to be honest to the script as a writer first and treated it as an individual film, without downplaying the impact of DJ Tillu. Tillu is like a vulnerable time bomb and he gets ample scope to shine here.”

Anupama Parameswaran said, “It has been a long journey and a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I’m happy with the response. I don’t know how to thank my team and audiences enough. I am grateful for the team for standing by my lows. Neha Shetty, the Radhika of DJ Tillu, called and appreciated my performance. I didn’t want to make the mistake of missing out on this character.”

Director Mallik Ram shared, “I am very happy with the response. We’ve been getting congratulatory calls all over the world. People are liking the characters, the world and it’s great to see the glowing reviews.”

Producer S Naga Vamsi mentioned, “I am confident that it’ll touch Rs 100 crore gross, going by the response. It’s a character audiences love getting back to. This is the right film to watch this summer and we have a long run ahead. We’re expecting Rs 25 crore gross on day one. We want to do Tillu 3 as soon as possible.”

“We are so glad to hear crowds tell that the second part worked for them better than the first and it’s a testimony to the effort we have put in,” actor Praneeth Reddy, composer Bheems Ceciroleo and others at the event shared.
