During an interactive session at the 50th edition of the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Taapsee said that male and female actors in Bollywood have a long way to go in making equal Remunerations.
Taapsee Pannu said that “the amount paid to actresses in Bollywood is not even half of what is paid to the lead actor of the film. Sometimes the amount given is not even equal to a quarter, to be honest, it is less than that. Half of the remuneration of the leading heroes is the full budget of women-oriented films of A-List actresses.
I hope it will change in my life. This will happen only when people go to see women-oriented films in the theater. Only the box office can change this” Taapsee said.
